Why Splice.Video?

100% private

Your videos are processed entirely in your browser — nothing is ever uploaded to a server.

AI scene detection

Automatically find shot changes and split your video at every scene cut with one click.

Lossless speed

Keyframe-aligned stream copy slices large videos in seconds without re-encoding; smart cut keeps cut points exact.

Free, no watermark

No installs, no sign-up, no watermarks. Works offline once loaded.

How it works

1. Load a video

Drag & drop or pick any MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM file.

2. Set cut points

Fixed interval, manual marks, or one-click AI scene detection — all points stay draggable and fine-tunable.

3. Slice, join & convert

Download every segment, join clips into one video, compress, extract audio or make a GIF.

4. Save or share

Results download straight to your device, or post to social via the system share sheet (mobile supported).

FAQ

Are my videos uploaded to a server?

No — and you can verify it yourself. Open DevTools → Network, then run a conversion: no request carries your file. Once the page has loaded, switch to airplane mode and the editor keeps working (the AI speech and translation models need one online download the first time). Processing runs in WebAssembly inside the tab, and even the free-usage counter is stored locally.

Which formats are supported?

Any format your browser can play, including MP4, MOV, AVI, MKV, WebM and TS. Output is MP4 by default, and you can also convert to MOV, MKV or WebM, plus M4A/MP3/WAV/FLAC audio and GIF.

Why is slicing fast or slow sometimes?

Fast mode uses lossless stream copy when a cut aligns with a keyframe. When it does not, the segment is partially or fully re-encoded to keep the cut exact — that takes longer but preserves precision.

Is it really free?

Yes — daily free quotas cover interval/manual slicing, AI detection, joining and converting. Members get unlimited use.

Does it work on phones?

Yes. The interface is optimized for touch — a bottom navigation bar, a touch-friendly timeline with drag and double-tap, and system share sheet support for saving results to your photo library.

Do I need to install anything?

No. Just open this page in a modern browser — Chrome, Edge, Firefox, or Safari. Everything runs inside your browser: nothing to install.

How do I cancel or get a refund?

Auto-renew can be cancelled any time from your PayPal account — your benefits stay active until the end of the paid period. For refunds within 7 days of purchase, see our Refund Policy.

Can I use the results commercially?

Yes. The files you create here belong entirely to you. We make no claim on your content and never see your video data.
